The leadership philosophy of the Sagamore Leadership Initiative is built on the idea that the best leaders are servant leaders, putting the interests of those we lead ahead of our own. This approach to leadership finds its perfect manifestation in the life and example of Jesus Christ, as articulated in the God's Word, the Bible (Philippians 2:4-5).
Therefore, we believe...
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the authoritative source of Truth through which we interpret all of life (2 Timothy 3:16; John 17:17).
Christianity is not a compartmentalized religion. Instead, it is a worldview which encompasses the way a Christian leader thinks, speaks, and acts in everyday life.
The Holy Spirit is present and active, empowering the believer toward godly living and works of service.
Jesus was, and is, God. He was born of the virgin, Mary, lived a perfect life and performed miracles which confirmed His deity. Christ died as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of humanity and was bodily resurrected three days later. He ascended to heaven and will come again someday in all His glory.
There is one God, the Creator of all that is (Genesis 1:1). He exists as three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three persons are one God.
